The City of Arvada provides all customers with an annual Water Quality Report.  The purpose of the report is to share information and inform our customers about the high quality of their drinking water. We want you to know where your water comes from, what it contains and how it compares to stringent federal water quality standards. The City of Arvada's drinking water has met or exceeded the standards regulated by the State of Colorado and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Water Treatment, Water Quality and Water Operations Staff ensure that quality drinking water flows to your tap every day.

Here are a few interesting facts included in the report:

  • Our two water treatment plants can produce and pump up to 52 million gallons of water a day.
  • Our trained professionals operate and maintain the two water treatment plants, more than 632 miles of drinking water distribution pipes, 7 pump stations, 5,592 fire hydrants, 38,231 water meters and 16,571 valves.
  • Along with continuous analytical instruments, more than 116,880 analytical tests are conducted each year to monitor the water quality.
  • Staff is on call 24 hours a day to maintain the system and to respond to customer calls to make sure water customers are satisfied.
