Coal Creek Tank

Project Description

Coal Creek Tank, located at the Northeast corner of Highway 93 and Highway 72, is a new water storage tank that will hold 1.5 million gallons of water. The water stored in Coal Creek Tank is for residential and fire use in the Northwest region of the City of Arvada.

Project Timeline

The project began in July 2021 and is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2022.

What to expect

During construction there will be material and equipment deliveries. During major concrete pours, there may be bright lights to accommodate the length of the pour (typically 12 hours or more). The site is not near residential or commercial developments, so little disruption is anticipated. The tank is mostly buried so there will be little visual impact at the conclusion of construction.
