Cold Weather Collection Drive

Winter is an especially difficult time for those experiencing homelessness. To help during this difficult season, the City of Arvada is conducting a Cold Weather Collection Drive for those in need. Collection bins will be located at our four community stations  beginning Dec. 1 through Dec. 30.

Items Needed

Clothing (new or very gently used)

  • Winter gloves
  • Warm socks
  • Warm hoodies
  • Men’s t-shirts
  • Men’s jeans sizes 32-40
  • Men’s belts sizes 32-36
  • Boots and tennis shoes
  • Winter coats

Clothing (new only)

  • Long underwear
  • Men’s underwear
  • Women's underwear

Other Items (new or very gently used)

  • Winter worthy sleeping bags
  • Backpacks
  • Hand and feet warmers

Sundries (new only)

  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo

Donation Locations

Donation bins are available at the following community stations:

  • City Hall/Police Headquarters (main entrance off 59th and Ammons Street.)
  • Lake Arbor Community Station (8110 Vance Dr.)
  • West Woods: (6644 Kendrick Dr.)
  • Whisper Creek: (14360 W. 89th Dr.)
