Input Sought for Healthy Places, Neighborhood Engagement Initiatives

Arvada, CO…..The City of Arvada’s Healthy Places Initiative and Neighborhood Engagement Initiative are designed to work with southeast Arvada neighborhoods to build communication, implement healthy neighborhood programs and make improvements to built environment infrastructure.  Focuses includes:

  • Identifying issues important to the neighborhood in addition to health issues
  • Establishing priorities for neighborhood improvements
  • Building neighborhood connections and communication
  • Carrying out neighborhood improvement projects and programs
  • Creating safe streets for all, including bicyclists, pedestrians and public transit users
  • Identifying barriers to walking and biking to neighborhood parks, schools and unique destinations
  • Building a culture of heath through neighborhood events and outreach
  • Creating awareness of new amenities
  • Celebrating Arvada as a healthy place
