Beginning in mid-September, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and Jalisco International Inc. will begin a roadway improvement project on Colorado Highway 95 (Sheridan Boulevard) between 52nd Avenue and 58th Avenue. Work includes curb ramp accessibility improvements, sidewalk replacement, street light installation, traffic signal improvements and an asphalt overlay. This project also includes repairs to the bridge over Clear Creek just north of Interstate 76.
What to Expect
The project will be completed in phases in order to minimize traffic impacts. Construction will continue through spring 2018.
Mid-September: Crews will implement daytime single lane closures on northbound Sheridan Boulevard. Non-essential lane closures will be lifted during peak travel hours to reduce traffic impacts.
Late September: Crews will begin night work to perform repairs on the bridge over Clear Creek. Motorists should expect closure of multiple lanes for overnight bridge work.
October: Overnight asphalt milling and paving work will begin along with extensive bridge deck repairs. Both operations will require traffic pattern changes and traffic shifts in order to complete the work.
