Common Ticket Reasons

Loading zone infraction – definition is below and can be referenced in the Municipal Code:

Loading and/or unloading means the continuous and uninterrupted activity of placing property into or removing property from a vehicle, or the receiving or discharging of passengers from a vehicle.

Timed parking limitation in violation of posted sign – this infraction is enforceable under our municipal code as stated below and referenced in the Municipal Code:

When a traffic control sign is placed or posted giving notice that no vehicle may remain parked for longer than the time specified on the sign, it shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle longer than the maximum time specified on the sign.

Please note if you moved your vehicle within the time frame allowed and still received a violation, before you appeal the ticket, please note if your vehicle was moved a minimum of 500 feet from the original space. If it was not it was in violation of municipal code 54-155 (c)(i) referenced here.
