Where can I Buy a Fishing License?

Colorado Parks and Wildlife provides in-depth information on fishing in Colorado. From fishing license requirements to stocking reports, you can find great information on the  Parks and Wildlife Fishing page. Fishing licenses can be purchased online, by phone, or at many retailers throughout the state.

Where Can I Fish?

Fishing is permitted at most Arvada lakes or ponds, unless otherwise posted.

Please note, other than worms, live aquatic bait is not allowed for fishing.

The  Colorado Fishing Atlas makes it easy to find fishing locations throughout the state, locate a license agent, find family friendly or accessible fishing areas, and much more!  Explore the Atlas to get information on, and directions to, more than 1,300 fishing locations in Colorado.  All Colorado Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation  regulations apply at all locations. Some locations, including the Arvada Reservoir, have usage fees.

There's an App for That

The CPW released a Fishing App that lets you search fishing locations across the state. You can keep track of where you’re going, where you’ve been, and even what you’ve caught! The app is available through both the Apple App Store and Google Play. Find out more about the  CPW Fishing App.
