What's New in Arvada's Field Programming
The City of Arvada is now managing the permitting and scheduling of organized sports activities including soccer, lacrosse, rugby, baseball, softball and more on the City’s public fields. The City's athletic fields include:
- Harold D. Lutz Sports Complex: 10664 W. 58th Ave.
- Long Lake Regional Park: 17850 W. 64th Ave.
- Stenger Sports Complex: 11200 W 58th Ave.
- Pioneer Park: 12100 W. 82nd Ave.
- Foster Fields: 5300 Saulsbury Ct.
- Youth Memorial Sports Complex: 7619 Alkire St.
Beginning Feb. 1, 2022, those wishing to make field reservations for the 2022 season may do so using CivicRec, our new field reservation system, which provides the easy-to-use navigation and browsing of an online facility catalog. Visit CivicRec to learn more and submit a field request.
Under a previous intergovernmental agreement, field programming and scheduling were managed by the Apex Parks and Recreation District. The agreement expired in 2020, although the parties continued operating under the principles of the agreement through 2021. Beginning in 2022, the City of Arvada assumed the permitting function on their fields, allowing Apex to invest in their own facilities and programs into the future. The consolidation of field programming and maintenance will be supported by the City’s focus on ensuring Arvada’s parks and amenities evolve with our diverse, changing and growing community. Maintaining access to a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities and high-quality fields for the community, including youth and adult sports, is a high priority for both the City and Apex teams.
If you have any questions or would like help reserving a field, please contact the City of Arvada at 720-898-7427 or email@example.com.
