City of Arvada Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report is a publication that provides in-depth information about the operations and financial position of the City of Arvada and complies with the City Charter. The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is prepared in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (USGAAP) and is audited by BKD, LLP a firm of licensed certified public accountants. The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the year ended December 31, 2019. The Certificate of Achievement is a national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government financial reports. This is the 37th consecutive year that the City has received the Certificate of Achievement award. Comprehensive Annual Financial Report documents are also available in hard copy for viewing at the City Clerk's Office located in City Hall or the Finance Department, which is located in the Annex building.
