General Information

The West Arvada Dog Park opened on June 18, 2005. It is a "Special Use" park. It is operated by volunteers on City-owned property and is funded 100% through donations. Happy, healthy dogs make a happy healthy community. When dogs have the chance to exercise, socialize and play, they become better members of the community. Incidents of animal surrender, animal control citations, and other unwanted behavior diminishes. Please note: a dog license is required for dog park usage.

How You Can Support the Dog Park

Seasonal Bark at the Park Events

Community support and participation are critical in the overall success of the dog park. Bark at the Park events are held once a month (weather permitting) between May and September. In the meantime, volunteer "Friends of the West Arvada Dog Park (WADP)" need your support. Learn how to help by visiting them at Facebook.com/WestArvadaDogPark.

If you would like to be placed on the "Friends of the Dog Park" email list to be updated on volunteer opportunities, events and news, send an email to WestArvadaDogPark@gmail.com.

You can help make improvements and additions to the dog park which will be enjoyed by our canine friends.
