Thank you to the residents who have already responded with their service level selection! As of Monday April 19, 2021, the City has received responses from approximately 60% of eligible households. Whether you choose to join the City’s program with a cart or choose a different hauler, we appreciate your response. In this final week, we want to hear from those who have not made a selection to ensure that each household receives the service level that best suits them.
If you have not yet responded: If you have your service level selection postcard, please follow the instructions on the card to make your selection. We recommend you respond by phone, website or email to ensure your selection is received in a timely manner.
If you have lost or misplaced your service level selection postcard, please contact a City customer service team member to make your selection over the phone (720-898-7575) or through email (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you choose to email, please provide your name, service address, a contact phone number and the service level you would like to select. Please be patient as wait times could be longer than normal this week.
As a reminder, service level selection is available to approximately 26,500 households who currently hire their own waste hauling companies. Apartment and condominium complexes with eight or more units and commercial properties are not eligible to participate in the City’s program at this time. Homeowners associations (HOAs) that already contract with a waste hauler may retain their current hauler or they may opt in. All HOAs will pay an 88 cent fee (per home, per month) and be included in the bulky item and yard debris services provided as part of the program
The City has provided an eligibility search for residents. Search for your address using the Waste Hauling Proposed Pick Up Day and Eligibility Search.
Residents who selected service levels 1, 2 or 3: Cart delivery will begin in June. When your City of Arvada waste and recycling carts are delivered, look for educational materials attached to the recycling cart to help you start recycling correctly. Service calendars will also be mailed in advance of July 5, 2021, the first week of service. Drop off events are being scheduled and will be communicated as soon as they are available.
Residents who selected minimum service: Drop off events are being scheduled and will be communicated as soon as they are available. Check with your hauling company to get information about using their recycling service as the City’s organized waste hauling ordinance requires all haulers to provide curbside recycling.
Residents in HOAs with organized waste hauling: You will remain with your current hauler and there is no action to take. Drop off events are being scheduled and will be communicated as soon as they are available.
