Arvada Urban Renewal Authority (AURA)

Arvada Urban Renewal Authority (AURA) is responsible for revitalizing urban areas designated throughout the community by creating successful, high-quality projects that will help produce a vibrant, cohesive city and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Arvada.

AURA's goal to develop quality office, retail or multi-family housing within distressed neighborhoods in Arvada is achieved through partnering with property owners and developers.  AURA collaborates closely with elected officials, city administrators, private developers, financing sources, as well as the community. AURA's revitalization efforts contribute to the economic stability of the City by increasing property values and sales tax.

AURA has five distinct urban renewal districts: Ralston Fields, Village Commons, Jefferson Center, Olde Town Station and Northwest Arvada.

The AURA Board of Commissioners meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. at AURA's office at 5601 Olde Wadsworth Boulevard, Suite 210. This is a volunteer appointment. Terms are for five years.
