Construction of the Kipling Pkwy. and W. 55th Ave. Traffic Signal Improvements will begin December 2017. Two intersections, Kipling Pkwy. and W. 55th Ave. and W. 55th Ave. and Lee St. are being constructed by the developer of Gateway at Arvada Ridge located at the northwest corner of Kipling Pkwy. and Ridge Road. The new signalized intersections will provide access to the multi-family development as well as the Red Rocks Community College and the Arvada Ridge G-Line Transit Station.

Construction will occur in two phases.

  • Phase I will include the construction of the signal infrastructure and will be completed by the end of January, 2018.
  • Phase II, which includes the installation of the traffic signal poles, signal heads and controller box will begin by April, 2018 and take approximately two weeks to complete.

Expect lane closures on Kipling Parkway during this project. The contractor will be allowed to perform work 8:30 a.m. and until 3:30 p.m.
