Water and Sewer Billing Rates

The City bills every two months for water and sewer service.  The City examines and adjusts rates on an annual basis. For Arvada customers living inside the City, the rates are among the lowest in the metro area.

The Arvada Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Utilities are funded through rates and new tap fees, not taxes. The City does not make a profit on these services or use the funds generated for anything other than providing water and sewer services. The rates are designed to recover the costs of providing reliable, high-quality water service, to efficiently remove, treat, and dispose of sewage generated by our customers, and to safely discharge stormwater into local waterways.

Increases in rates are due to higher raw water costs, energy increases, higher pricing for goods procured from outside vendors and the steadily increasing need for rehabilitation and replacement of infrastructure.

Budget Billing is Available

The Utility Billing Division offers budget billing for your City of Arvada Utility Bill. Customers can choose a monthly equalized payment based upon the past 12 months of water consumption.
