What is ResourceSmart?
The City of Arvada, in collaboration with ICAST (International Center for Appropriate and Sustainable Technology), has launched ResourceSmart Arvada, a program designed to save homes, businesses, and multifamily properties 20-30% on their energy and water consumption.
ResourceSmart Arvada is a turn-key program offering a one-stop-shop approach to property rehabilitation that reduces energy and water use, increases comfort, safety and property value, provides access to rebates, incentives and financing options, creates local jobs, lowers utility costs and reduces air pollution.
The process starts with a complete property assessment to identify any areas that may be inefficient in terms of energy and water use. Property owners then receive a detailed report with costs, savings and payback details, so they can decide what improvements fit their needs.
Once owners decide what improvements they wish to implement, ResourceSmart handles all aspects of the project until completion. This includes the planning, design, construction management, reporting and financing processes. ResouceSmart selects local sub-contractors, supervises work, preforms quality checks, processes eligible utility rebates and City incentives, accesses financing options, and takes care of invoicing and reporting to the City. Whether you are a home, business, or multifamily property owner ResourceSmart can help you generate immediate energy and water savings, savings that continue to grow each year.
