Daily in November/December

Apex Facilities and Friendly Square Shopping Center at 64th & Simms

Not a holiday event, but  an opportunity to give back this holiday season. Bring unwrapped NEW toys, for infants through age 12, to any of the Apex PRD facilities during regular hours in November or you may take donations to the Santa House in the Friendly Square Shopping Center at 64th & Simms in December. The Arvada Center's 31st Annual Fine Art Market Show & Sale takes place in the Main Gallery and features handmade, one-of-a-kind items from over 90 local artists in a wide variety of media and styles. This is one of the best places to find a unique gift for everyone on your list, and yourself, for the holiday season! Admission to the sale is free, all purchases support the participating artists and the Arvada Center.

Apex PRD's Santa Mail Box

Children can write and decorate their letters to Santa, put a return address on the envelope and drop it in the mailbox. Each night the Apex Center helpers will get the letters to Santa and he will write back to you before Christmas Day!


Saturdays with Santa in Olde Town Square

Saturdays, December 2, 9 and 16; 12 – 3 p.m.

Santa will be in the Olde Town Square (57th and Olde Wadsworth). Bring your own cameras! Pictures with Santa are FREE! Holiday entertainment will be provided each Saturday! December 2: Arvada Chorale; December 9: Holiday Low Brass; December 16: Grace and Molly McCabe. Colorado Home Realty will be onsite with free cocoa and will be hosting a Coat Drive; bring your unwanted/unused coats! Canned food donations will be accepted and donated to the food bank at The Rising Church.


One Time Events

Handmade Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair is now Arvada Fair for the Band

Small Business Saturday

Join Olde Town Arvada in kicking off Small Business Saturday at 10 a.m. in Olde Town Square. Free coffee and great register-to-win prizes. Plus free breakfasts and lunches being offered to first arrivals! View the details here!

Apex PRD's Santa Breakfast 

Saturday, December 2; 9 a.m.

Community Recreation Center

Bring the entire family for breakfast with Santa. Afterward, enjoy family entertainment and visit with Santa. An adult must accompany children. The fee is $5 for ages 3 and over; children two and under are free, but still need to register. No tickets sold at the door. Register by Nov. 29.


Olde Town Arvada's Lagniappe

Tuesday, December 5; 5:30 – 8 p.m.

Throughout Olde Town

Celebrate Lagniappe (lawn-yahp) as our local business owners stay open late and thank their loyal customers with small gifts of appreciation. The Arvada Chorale performs before (approx. 5:45 p.m.) and after the tree lighting by the Mayor in the square, which takes place at 6 p.m. There will be carriage rides around Olde Town (5:30 - 8:30 p.m.), the Chili Cook-Off to benefit Arvada Fire takes place at Kline’s (6 - 8 p.m.), and Santa will be waiting to meet young children and listen to their Holiday wishes in the Library (5:30 - 7:30 p.m.). Telescope Night, sponsored by Majestic View Nature Center, will take place in the Square after dark.
