Municipal Court

Please Note: Stay-At-Home Orders have been issued effective March 26, 8 a.m. In order to protect public health and safety, Arvada City Hall and Municipal Court are closed to members of the public through Friday, April 11, 2020. All court proceedings from March 16 through and including April 11 have been continued by the Court.  View  the Court Order.

If you are a defendant scheduled to appear during the closure period:
Walk-In Court: Due to the high volume of cases requiring rescheduling and the inability to contact each person by phone, once the closure has lifted, the Court will provide "walk-in court time." This means that when the Court reopens, you will be able to walk in on a Monday or Friday from 9 to 11 a.m,. and your case will be heard. (At this point in time, we anticipate that re-opening date to be Monday, April 13, but this is subject to change depending on the evolution of the coronavirus situation.) This walk-in court option will remain open through June 19. Again, once the closure has lifted, if your court date was scheduled during the closure period, you can come in from 9 to 11 a.m, any Monday or Friday through June 19, 2020. Please be advised that you must appear in Court during this "walk-in Court option". If you fail to appear by the June 26 deadline, the Court will issue a warrant for your arrest.

We realize this situation will cause some disruption; please bear with us as we work through this unusual circumstance. Once this closure has been lifted, Court staff will attempt to reach you by phone and will be available to take questions by telephone at 720-898-7150 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
