The Arvada Street Division is responsible for maintenance and repairs of the City's street and surface drainage infrastructure. Services include: Pavement Management/Maintenance; Street Sweeping; Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk Maintenance; Creek and Ditch Maintenance; and Snow and Ice Removal. The Arvada Engineering Division is responsible for the planning, design, and review of improvements to the transportation system in the City and for the creation and implementation of the City's comprehensive transportation plan. The division also coordinates with other local, regional and state government agencies on important regional transportation issues. Activities of the division include the design, implementation and maintenance of traffic control devices (signs, street markings and traffic signals), review of new development plans for compliance with the city's transportation plan and standards, and capital improvement projects to improve transportation in the city.
