Sewer And Wastewater Ask Arvada

Wastewater Rates

Arvada's wastewater is treated by the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District.  Sewer charges are calculated by using the average of the bi-monthly amount of water metered to the user within two complete cycle billings, occurring between November 1st and April 30th.  We encourage all our customers to conserve water as much as possible during the months of November through April in order to reduce their sewer base usage and as a result, decrease their sewer charge.  Each year in July, the annual sewer calculation is performed for all accounts.  Sewer charges are adjusted according to the average usage established during the base setting period.  The sewer charge is then calculated by multiplying the sewer of $4.49 per thousand gallons by the sewer base and adding the service charge of $2.44.   If you have questions regarding wastewater charges, please call 720-898-7070 during business hours or submit a service request.
