Hazardous Waste-air And Water Pollution Ask Arvada

Hazardous Waste Disposal - Household

Several jurisdictions including Arvada cooperatively finance the Rooney Road Recycling Center so that residents have a place to properly dispose of waste like paints, thinners, pesticides, and even oil.  A small fee is charged to customers, with the city subsidizing about 88% of the cost to use the Center.  For those unable to drive, this material can also be picked up at your curb.  The Center also recycles electronic waste, with a fee applied depending on the type of waste. Normal days of operation are Wednesday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  An appointment is required by calling 303-316-6262.
