Used Motor Oil

Used motor oil should be recycled and never dumped down storm drains or in yards.  There are several places in Arvada to recycle used motor oil.  Please go to the City's on-line recycling guide for places to take used motor oil, including Checker Auto Parts, Advanced Auto Parts, and Auto Zone There are also several BP Amoco and Shell stations.  However, most places only accept five gallons at one time.  The Rooney Road Recycling Center located at 151 South Rooney Road accepts used motor oil.  There is a $13 fee and you need a reservation, which can be made by calling 303-316-6262.
