Development Review

The purpose of the City Planning and Development Division is to create a high-quality physical environment and a desirable community in conformance with City policies and regulations.  The division gathers and disseminates planning information to the public, other City departments, Boards and Commissions, and City Council. The division is responsible for updating and implementing the Comprehensive Plan; processing applications for annexation, rezoning, site development and subdivisions; and coordinating community and City department input.

Planner-of-the-Day

Until further notice, in-person Planner of the Day services are available by appointment only.  We continue to encourage the use of online resources.  You may also email or call a planner.

If you have questions regarding building permits or inspections, please contact the Building Division at buildingpermits@arvada.org.

Online new development applications, re-submittals, and pre-application requests can be submitted online at arvadapermits.org. However, due to reduced staffing, processing of your requests may take a little longer than normal.  No in-person pre-application meetings will take place, however we are scheduling virtual meetings.

A Planner of the Day is available by appointment only at Arvada City Hall, 8101 Ralston Road, Monday thru Friday, 8am to noon and 1pm to 5pm, to answer questions if you can not find the information you are looking for on the City's website. To schedule an appointment, please email POD@arvada.org.
