The purpose of the City Planning and Development Division is to create a high-quality physical environment and a desirable community in conformance with City policies and regulations. The division gathers and disseminates planning information to the public, other City departments, Boards and Commissions, and City Council. The division is responsible for updating and implementing the Comprehensive Plan; processing applications for annexation, rezoning, site development and subdivisions; and coordinating community and City department input.
In-person Planner of the Day services are currently available. However, we continue to encourage the use of online resources.
Online new development applications, re-submittals, and pre-application requests can be submitted online at arvadapermits.org. However, due to reduced staffing, processing of your requests may take a little longer than normal. No in-person pre-application meetings will take place, however we are scheduling virtual meetings.
Questions may be emailed to email@example.com -- responses may be delayed because of staff availability, but we will get back to you as soon as we can.
If you have questions regarding building permits or inspections, please contact the Building Division at firstname.lastname@example.org.
