The purpose of the City Planning and Development Division is to create a high-quality physical environment and a desirable community in conformance with City policies and regulations. The division gathers and disseminates planning information to the public, other City departments, Boards and Commissions, and City Council. The division is responsible for updating and implementing the Comprehensive Plan; processing applications for annexation, rezoning, site development and subdivisions; and coordinating community and City department input.
All City facilities will be closed to the public effective Monday, March 16, 2020 through Friday, April 24, 2020. This closure includes, but is not limited to, public business activities at City Hall, including in-person development meetings and services. Online new development applications, re-submittals, pre-applications can be submitted online at arvadapermits.org however, due to reduced staffing and limited meeting availability, processing of your requests will be delayed and public and informal meetings will be scheduled once City meeting facilities reopen.
