The purpose of the City Planning and Development Division is to create a high-quality physical environment and a desirable community in conformance with City policies and regulations. The division gathers and disseminates planning information to the public, other City departments, Boards and Commissions, and City Council. The division is responsible for updating and implementing the Comprehensive Plan; processing applications for annexation, rezoning, site development and subdivisions; and coordinating community and City department input.
