Governor Polis has extended the statewide mask mandate Through Oct. 12 but may be extended further. Jefferson County Public Health's mask mandate is in place until further notice. The City of Arvada continues to urge residents, businesses and visitors to follow the mandates set out by the state and local public health agencies, including the wearing of masks or face coverings whenever you are out of the house and following physical distancing guidelines standing at least six feet from other people.
The City of Arvada City Council has moved to a hybrid meeting format. A hybrid meeting means that some members of Council, City staff and citizens will participate virtually via our web platform and some will do so in person at Arvada City Hall. Only citizens wishing to provide public comment may attend a meeting in person. For instructions on how to provide public comment at a Council business meeting during COVID, visit arvada.org/public-comment. Members of the public may watch the meeting on Comcast channels 8 and 880 or on the livestream at arvada.org/live-stream. A recording of the meeting will also be available the next day.
City Council business meetings are generally held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 6 p.m. Workshops are generally held on the second and fourth Mondays at 6 p.m. These meetings are open to the public but the opportunity for public comment is only available at business meetings. All Council Meetings are held at City Hall, 8101 Ralston Road, in the Council Chambers.
We encourage citizens to verify if any changes have been made to the agendas by accessing the agenda online or calling the City Clerk's Office at 720-898-7550.
