Update July 6: The City of Arvada continues the process of reopening City facilities to in-person services while prioritizing the health and safety of the Arvada community and members of the City team. The City continues to provide most services remotely, and residents are encouraged to access online or remote services whenever possible. Residents are encouraged to review City services updates at arvada.org/services-update or call the City of Arvada at 720-898-7000 during business hours to confirm that a service is open and available.
Please note: This information applies to City buildings, not to businesses in Arvada, which are encouraged to follow state and local health orders
The City of Arvada City Council has moved to a hybrid meeting format. A hybrid meeting means that some members of Council, City staff and citizens will participate virtually via our web platform and some will do so in person at Arvada City Hall. Only citizens wishing to provide public comment may attend a meeting in person. For instructions on how to provide public comment at a Council business meeting during COVID, visit arvada.org/public-comment. Members of the public may watch the meeting on Comcast channels 8 and 880 or on the livestream at arvada.org/live-stream. A recording of the meeting will also be available the next day.
The City of Arvada has a council-manager form of government where the elected City Council sets policies and the Council-appointed City Manager administers them.
Your Councilmember and District
The City of Arvada is divided into four City Council Districts. Voters elect the mayor and six City Councilmembers; one for each district and two at-Large members. Elected officials serve four year terms.
