City Council

In accordance with physical distancing guidelines, the April 6 Arvada City Council meeting will be held remotely using webinar technology. Members of the public may watch the meeting on Comcast channels 8 and 880 or on the livestream at A recording of the meeting will be available the following day.

Public Comment: Members of the public who wish to provide public comment on any agenda item or during general public comment should email their name, address, phone number and the topic to Bruce Roome ( to receive instructions on registering for and participating in the webinar. Members of the public who prefer to use the telephone may call the City Clerk’s office at 720-898-7550 to participate. Those who wish to submit a comment regarding the item in the agenda may do so in writing via email to City Clerk Kristen Rush at Comments must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, April 6. All timely comments submitted will be presented to the Mayor and City Council, and, if requested, read aloud at the meeting. View the April 6 agenda.

The City of Arvada has a council-manager form of government where the elected City Council sets policies and the Council-appointed City Manager administers them.

The City of Arvada is divided into four City Council Districts. Voters elect the mayor and six City Councilmembers; one for each district and two at-Large members. Elected officials serve four year terms.

Meeting Information

City Council business meetings are generally held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 6 p.m. Workshops are generally held on the second and fourth Mondays at 6 p.m. For viewing, meetings are streamed live and video taped.
