The City of Arvada City Council has moved to a hybrid meeting format. A hybrid meeting means that some members of Council, City staff and citizens will participate virtually via our web platform and some will do so in person at Arvada City Hall. Only citizens wishing to provide public comment may attend a meeting in person. For instructions on how to provide public comment at a Council business meeting during COVID, visit arvada.org/public-comment. Members of the public may watch the meeting on Comcast channels 8 and 880 or on the livestream at arvada.org/live-stream. A recording of the meeting will also be available the next day.
The City of Arvada has a council-manager form of government where the elected City Council sets policies and the Council-appointed City Manager administers them.
Your Councilmember and District
The City of Arvada is divided into four City Council Districts. Voters elect the mayor and six City Councilmembers; one for each district and two at-Large members. Elected officials serve four year terms.
City Council business meetings are generally held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 6 p.m. Workshops are generally held on the second and fourth Mondays at 6 p.m. For viewing, meetings are streamed live and video taped.
Meeting Agendas, Packets, and Minutes
Current City Council agendas/packets are posted on the Friday prior to the next meeting. Prior meeting minutes are available the day after the next business meeting.
