Water and Sewer Installation and Repair Guidelines for ROWYARD Permits
Permits and inspections are required by a licensed City of Arvada contractor for residential and commercial installation and repairs of City of Arvada sewer and water lines. The City of Arvada Engineering takes online applications and payments with credit card only for this type of work being done in the yard only. There will be a 24 hour processing review on each permit, a ROWYARD permit must be paid for and issued before work can begin.
Submit Your Application
Applications for ROWYARD permits can be submitted electronically using the customer service portal, http://arvadapermits.org/etrakit3/. You must log in as a licensed City of Arvada contractor with your AEC # and password. If you don't remember your password you can use the "Forgot your password" link.
Applications that are submitted online will be reviewed and you will be notified via e-mail when the permit is approved and ready for payment. Online permits can only be obtained by a licensed contractor doing utility work in the yard only. If you are not licensed with the City of Arvada please contact the City of Arvada Engineering division for information about a municipal contractor's license.
You can still submit a permit application to work in the yard at the Engineering counter (8101 Ralston Road) Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. There will be a 24 hour processing time and once the permit has been approved you will need to come back and pay for the permit or you can pay by credit card online through your contractor dashboard. We will no longer be taking ROWYARD permits through email application.
Important Information for Submitting an Application
- The Colorado 811 locate confirmation number must be entered on all applications.
- If installing new services (Sewer and Water) for commercial and new homes, you must confirm that the building permit has an ISSUED status before you submit your application. If the building permit is not issued, your application will not be reviewed. Use arvadapermits.org to search for the permit by address. You can search for the building permit at arvadapermits.org.
FeesFees for repairing or installing water and sewer lines in the yard are $52.00 for each item and sales and use tax will be applied on the job value. Credit card payments can be made online at arvadapermits.org once the permit is approved. Payments by cash or check can be made at the Engineering Counter on the 2nd Floor of City Hall.
Inspections are scheduled through http://arvadapermits.org/etrakit3/. You can schedule inspection up until 6:00 a.m on the day requested. Inspections are done Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 3pm. Please only schedule the inspection that matches the type of work you have a permit for or the inspection will be voided and you will need to reschedule it.
All statuses of inspections and inspection notes are available on http://arvadapermits.org/etrakit3 by logging into your account and clicking on the permit number and then selecting the inspections tab. On completion of every inspection, an email will be sent to the contractor with an update of the inspection results.
Closing the Permit
When the required inspection has been approved, the permit will automatically close and send an email with the final results.
