Safe Transaction Zones

Safe Transaction Area Logo

Arvada Police are pleased to offer Safe Transaction Areas at all three of our police stations

for residents to conduct sales transaction. Stations lobbies are open and available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for residents to use for their online purchase transactions.

“Our goal with this program is to provide a safe environment for our residents to conduct private transactions,” said Arvada Police Chief Don Wick. “ We built our community stations to better serve the needs of our community and this is just one example of how we can do that.”

Examples of Transactions

  • Buying and selling from Craiglist, OfferUp, Backpage, etc.
  • Automobile purchases (in parking lot)
  • Private-party transactions

Are Officers There for Transactions?

While officers cannot be present for transactions, there are police staff at the front desk during work hours and the lobby is under video monitoring. Officers will be going in and out of the buildings as part of their daily work.
