The Grandview tree replacement project stretches from Saulsbury to Lamar along Grandview Avenue east of the Wadsworth overpass. This project fulfills a pledge made to the neighborhood to replace those trees that had to be removed as part of the construction of RTD's G Line, and is primarily funded by RTD. Many of the new trees are tall but narrow to avoid overhead commuter rail wires. Others are low-growing or slow-growing semi-dwarf trees, such as dwarf Spruce and Bosnian Pines. An automatic irrigation system is included in the project. The area will be seeded with a bluegrass blend. The project is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks.
