Ronald Cox Arrested in Cedar Rapids

(Arvada, CO)  -- Following up on a Crime Stoppers tip and working with colleagues at the Cedar Rapids Police Department, Ronald Cox (DOB: 07/02/61) was arrested today in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Cox was arrested on warrants for misdemeanor theft and for three felony counts of motor vehicle theft.

Between February 2015 and July 2015, the Arvada Police Department received several reports of thefts relating to car repair work that was not completed and customers’ vehicles that went missing after Cox, owner of Always Available Mobile Mechanics, seemingly disappeared.

Cox was located after citizens contacted Crime Stoppers, which led to investigations in two other states. Cox was arrested in Iowa, and at that time was associated with a vehicle that had been stolen from Illinois.  Cox will now face extridition back to Colorado.
