Rachael Kuroiwa Selected as Chief Communication Manager

The City of Arvada has announced the selection of Rachael Kuroiwa as Chief Communication Manager. Kuroiwa, who previously served as the City’s Infrastructure Communications Manager, will begin serving in her new role beginning Monday, April 11. Rachael Kuroiwa

“Rachael’s experience, knowledge and skills have been a tremendous asset to the infrastructure team,” said City Manager Mark Deven. “We look forward to the contributions she will add to the entire City organization and the Arvada community in her new role as chief communication manager.”

Kuroiwa has 10 years of experience in communications, including two and a half years with the City of Arvada. She is an accomplished communications professional highly regarded for leading communication and engagement campaigns for diverse stakeholders. Kuroiwa has experience leading large-scale complex public information campaigns. She previously worked at the University of Colorado Denver where she led communications and marketing for the College of Architecture and Planning. 

“I’m incredibly grateful,” said Kuroiwa. “I am eager to get started and look forward to serving our great community and City team in this new role.”

Kuroiwa holds a Masters Degree in Communication from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from The Ohio State University. She lives in Arvada with her husband, their son, and their two dogs.
