One Arrested After Late Night Argument leads to Shots Fired

Arvada, Colorado July 5, 2016– One man is in custody after a late night verbal altercation ended with shots being fired.   


Police were called at 12:55 a.m. this morning by a man who said he and another male got into a verbal argument in the 7800 block of Barbara Ann Drive. The suspect retrieved a gun and fired a single gunshot at the victim.


The victim was not hit and called Arvada Police Dispatch. Arvada Police were able to identify the suspect through witness statements. Police tracked the suspect to the 5300 block of Newton, where he was taken into custody without incident with the assistance of Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office.


The suspect’s name is not being released pending the on-going investigation.
