New Chief Information Officer Joins City team

The City of Arvada is pleased to announce Craig Poley as the City’s new Chief Information Officer. Poley was selected from a pool of nearly 140 qualified candidates in a nationwide search.

PoleyPoley’s more than 20 years experience leading teams and initiatives and expertise in application development, data governance, IT governance, disaster recovery, network administration and enterprise security made him the standout choice for Arvada.

“Craig will be a great addition to our Information Technology Team and our Leadership Team” said Mark Deven, Arvada City Manager. “We believe Craig will be instrumental in advancing important priorities such as cybersecurity and bold initiatives such as completion of our Fiber Master Plan and Smart Cities.”

Poley most recently served as the Information Technology Director, Application Management for the City and County of Denver. Prior to being promoted to the director position, he managed enterprise applications for the City and County of Denver. Before working for Denver, Poley co-founded multiple companies in Healthcare markets including medical billing and SaaS analytics. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology from Colorado State University.

“'I am grateful and excited to be able to serve the Arvada community,” said Poley. “I'm proud to be joining such a strong team that is well-positioned to help drive important strategic initiatives forward within the City. It's an interesting time to be taking on this new role, but I'm energized and ready to fully engage.”
