DRCOG Citizens' Academy Registration Open

Have you ever wondered how big, regional issues get planned across the cities and counties around Arvada? The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) is now accepting applications for its 2019 Citizens' Academy. During this seven-week course you will learn about important regional issues like transportation, economic vitality, housing, civic engagement and more. The academy sessions will be held April 4 through May 16 on Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. The academy is free for participants, and dinner is provided at each session.

The following DRCOG-supported Transportation Improvement Program projects serving Arvada include (among others):

  • Ralston Road Reconstruction (Yukon to Upham Street)
  • Ridge Road Bike/Ped Project
  • W. 57th Ave. Bike/Ped Project
