City Continues Phased Reopening of City Facilities

The City of Arvada continues the process of reopening City facilities to in-person services while prioritizing the health and safety of the Arvada community and members of the City team.

With the closure of facilities set to expire on May 31, the City is following a phased approach to reopening of facilities to allow all team members to be trained in safety requirements and to ensure all necessary materials and equipment to adjust facilities to accommodate physical distancing can be acquired and applied. During the process, the City will continue to provide most services remotely.

The next phase of reopening will begin between June 1 - 15. Residents can review City services updates at or call the City of Arvada at 720-898-7000 during business hours to confirm a facility or service is open and available.

The City has already reopened several in-person services and facilities including the Municipal Court and the Police Department’s community stations, using measures to ensure physical distancing and other safety considerations. The next phase of reopening is the re-establishing of in-person engagement with public meetings, including the ability to provide in-person comments and testimony during City Council meetings and the ability to attend select neighborhood and community open houses.

As part of that work, beginning June 1, residents will be able to provide public feedback at City Council meetings using a variety of on-site and remote methods as part of a “hybrid” approach to community engagement. Additional information about options for providing comment at City Council meetings will be posted as available at
