Assistance Available Following May 2017 Hailstorm

May's hailstorm caused damage to thousands of roofs in Arvada. In order to accommodate the permit and inspection demand for these roofs to be repaired, the City has hired additional inspectors, but even with the extra help, there may be up to a 10 day delay in getting your roof inspected. In an effort to reduce phone inquiries, which further delay staff, we encourage homeowners to request and review permits/inspections for their homes at eTRAKiT. Please schedule your inspection one time only. Inspections will be completed in the order that they are received. Thank you for your assistance in helping us expedite this process.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has granted an administrative declaration, including the Physical Disaster Loan and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan programs, for Jefferson County in response to the May 8 Hailstorm.  This administrative declaration includes the surrounding contiguous counties.

Read more about the SBA Declaration in Jefferson County.

The SBA will be operating a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) in the Jefferson County Courts and Administration Building, 100 Jefferson Parkway, Golden, CO.  The DLOC will operate Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. to assist impacted individuals with their applications for Physical Disaster Loans or Economic Injury Loans.

Physical Loan applications must be submitted within 60 day of the declaration, by August 29, 2017.  Economic Injury Loan applications must be submitted by March 30, 2018.
