Arvada Police Locate and Arrest Wanted Fugitive Dellert

Joey DellertOn 2/19/15 the Arvada Police Community Response Impact Team (CRIT) located and arrested Joey Dellert (DOB: 02/09/87) in Northglenn. 


The Arvada CRIT officers received assistance from the West Metro Drug Task Force, Northglenn Police Department and Denver Police Department’s Air-One to safely contain and take Dellert into custody.


Detectives from Arvada, Broomfield and Wheat Ridge Police Departments suspect Dellert in a string of burglaries in their respective cities and warrants had been issued for his arrest.


On February 12, 2015, Dellert was contacted by a Broomfield police officer who  was injured while attempting to detain him.


Dellert eluded capture and officers throughout the metro area continued to search for him, ultimately locating him Thursday night. Dellert was taken into custody after attempting to flee and a brief struggle.


He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail to be held on the following charges:

2nd Degree Assault on a Peace Officer     (Broomfield)

Burglary                                                        (Broomfield)

Burglary                                                        (Arvada)

Felony Traffic                                               (Boulder County)

Obstructing a Peace Officer                        (Weld County)

FTA                                                                (Adams County)

FTA                                                                (Wheat Ridge )



Dellert remains a suspect in additional cases in the metro area.
