Afternoon Traffic Accident Proves Fatal

Arvada, Colorado  June 22, 2016– An afternoon traffic accident on June 21, 2016, proved fatal for a 58-year-old Westminster woman, Kathryn G. Mastropaolo.


Arvada Police were dispatched at 3:06 p.m. to the 7800 block of Wadsworth Blvd for an unknown injury accident.


A Toyota Corolla, driven by Wesley Grebe (age 82), was traveling northbound on Wadsworth when it collided with a Ford Focus ZX3, driven by Mastropaolo.  Her vehicle was pushed into the southbound lanes of Wadsworth by the impact, where it collided with a Dodge Challenger, driven by Jeff Holt (age 44). Holt was uninjured in the accident. A passenger in the vehicle driven by Grebe, Roberta Arnold (age 82), sustained serious injury.


Mastropaolo had to be extricated from her vehicle and was transported to Denver Health Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.


The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
