1st Degree Assault Suspect Captured in Denver

First degree murder suspect captured - photo(Arvada) – On November 7, 2015 in the early morning hours, an individual shot his acquaintance one time, in an apartment building in the area of W. 55th Avenue and Newland Street in Arvada. The victim later sought medical treatment and survived his injury.

An arrest warrant was sought for the suspect, identified as Kirk Len Boyd (10/20/78).  Commerce City Police attempted to contact Boyd on November 12, 2015, who fled to the area of Martin Luther King Blvd and Ash in Denver.

With the assistance of the Denver Police Department, Boyd was located on the property, outside of a home in that area. Boyd was taken into custody without incident.
