As a part of the City's Boards, Commissions, and Committees system, the City Council has appointed two committees to advise them on transportation issues in the City.
The Transportation Implementation Committee (TIC) is charged with advising the City Council in the selection and implementation of major transportation projects in the City, with the goals of improving traffic flow, safety, quality of life, and emergency response time in the community
The Gold Line Advisory Committee (GLAC) is charged with helping build support for commuter rail in Arvada, and for advising the City Council on important issues concerning light rail in Arvada.
Appointments to these committees are generally made each spring and positions are usually three year terms.
