Fireworks
The purchase, possession, use or explosion of any firework is prohibited in Arvada. Even sparklers are considered a firework and cannot be lit in the city at anytime.
People who ignore the ordinance may be ticketed and face a fine up to $999.
When to Call the Police Department Directly:
If you wish to report a fireworks complaint, contact the police department by calling 720-898-6900. If the fireworks complaint involves a fire or an injury, callers should dial 911 to report the incident. A patrol officer will respond to the call.
When to Call Fireworks Hotline:
The Arvada Police Department operates a phone line where citizens can report fireworks violations in the days leading up to the 4th of July. The Fireworks Hotline can be reached at 720-898-6919. This line is only monitored during the days leading up to the 4th of July.
Following a recorded message, the caller is prompted to record as much specific information about the incident as possible. Designated officers will periodically retrieve the messages and respond to the incidents accordingly.
