Sex Offenders

Sexual crime can be a severely traumatizing event, leading to life-altering consequences for the victim. Colorado Law (Article 16, Title 22 CRS) requires persons convicted of certain sex crimes to register with the law enforcement agency having jurisdiction where they reside.

Sex Offender List

The Arvada Police Department provides a free copy of the City's sex offender list to anyone who asks. A brief form must be completed prior to obtaining the list at the Department's Records Unit, located at 8101 Ralston Road. This list is updated daily.  For more information, call 720-898-6920.

SOTAR (Sex Offender Tracking and Registration)

The City of Arvada has joined a group of more than 30 participating law enforcement agencies that uses a Unified Sex Offender Registry System known as SOTAR. You can now search for sex offenders registered in Arvada and all other participating agencies from a single web site.

SOTAR is a convenient tool that allows residents to view offenders that our agency can be listed legally.  State law prohibits the online posting of juvenile offenders and some adults, including those convicted of only one misdemeanor. Offenders who have failed to register may be listed here; they are also listed by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
