Election Information

Elections for Arvada Mayor and City Councilmembers are held biennially on the first Tuesday in November of odd numbered years. All special and regular municipal elections for elected officials shall be nonpartisan.

The next election for City Council will be in November, 2011.  At that time the registered electors of Arvada will be voting for Mayor, one at-large representative, the District 2 representative and the District 4 representative.

Municipal elections in Colorado, under the Colorado State Municipal Election Code, are required to be "non-partisan" elections, meaning that candidates do not run for election on a designated party ticket. The City of Arvada does not maintain any information that would identify a candidate by party affiliation. Registered voter information which sets out party affiliation, if it has been designated, is available for viewing, in person, in the office of the County Clerk & Recorder.
