The Water Quality / Environmental Services Division conducts comprehensive monitoring programs for compliance with the State of Colorado and the United States Environmental Protection Agency's rules and regulations.

The division implements the City's Drinking Water, Cross Connection Control and Stormwater programs. The city has several programs required under the city's stormwater permit which include construction site erosion control, illicit discharges and environmental education. The division takes part in enforcing wood burning restrictions, addresses environmental problems and managers the mosquito control program.
