Department Directory - Public Works - Traffic and Transportation (Division)

The Arvada Traffic and Transportation Division is responsible for the planning, design, and review of improvements to the transportation system in the City and for the creation and implementation of the City's comprehensive transportation plan. The division also coordinates with other local, regional and state government agencies on important regional transportation issues.

Activities of the division include the design, implementation and maintenance of traffic control devices (signs, street markings and traffic signals), review of new development plans for compliance with the city's transportation plan and standards, and capital improvement projects to improve transportation in the city.
