More than 200 sworn officers and support staff comprise the Arvada Police Department. Professionalism and commitment form the cornerstone of the organization, which is one of the most respected law enforcement agencies in Colorado.
The City of Arvada enjoys a relatively low crime rate compared to other cities in the Denver metro area. Through community policing efforts Arvada's officers continually strive to help reduce crime, the fear of crime and improve the quality of life of community members.
The Arvada Police Department is an accredited organization through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The department has achieved re-accreditation status for an unprecedented sixth time in 2005 and represents the first Colorado law enforcement organization to achieve such an illustrious status.
