Department Directory - Information Technology

The need for technology services for the City has grown over the years to provide more efficient and effective use of city resources. Imagine what city services would be like with out the benefits of electronic communications such as email, telephones, dispatch radios or automation that enables City staff to be more productive!

The department that handles and supports technology services is the “Information Technology Department.”

This department provides value by:

• Serving the community in supporting the technology needed for Public Safety (Police and Fire Department).
• Serving the community in supporting the technology needed for City owned websites.
• Serving the community in supporting the technology needed for Financial Management systems involving Sales Tax, Water Billing, Budget, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting and Audits.
• Serving the community in supporting the technology needed for Communications Systems involving internal E-mail and phone systems.
• Serving the community in supporting services needed for all internal mail, copy, print and reception.

Presently, the staffing consists of thirty team members.

The Department is comprised of 4 divisions: Information Services (IS), Network Systems (NS), Police Systems and General Services (Mail and Reception Services.)

The department is led by Michele Hovet who is the Director.
