Board of Adjustment
Hears all appeals of the zoning ordinance. Meets generally on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. Appointees are paid $75.00 per meeting. Terms are for three years. You must be a resident of the City of Arvada to apply.
The Board of Adjustment meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday except when the 1st Tuesday is the 1st day of the month, then the board meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday. Meetings begin at 7 p.m.
The Board hears all appeals of the zoning enforcement officers and requests for variances to the Land Development Code. The Board must consider the following: 1) reasonable differences of interpretation of the Land Development Code; 2) consistency with other similarly situated properties and intent of the Land Development Code; and 3) interpretation not to be injurious to the neighborhood or detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare.
