2016 Bicycle Recycle Event

Saturday, June 4, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Street Maintenance Facility Parking Lot
6161 Olde Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, CO 80003
Bring us your unused bikes! This program takes in unneeded bikes from local residents and are refurbished by local Optimist club members at no cost. The bikes are then distributed among community members who cannot afford a bike.

About the Program

The Bicycle Recycle Program is a partnership between the City, the Golden/Arvada/Lake Arbor Optimists and the Arvada Bicycle Advisory Committee. The Optimists bike repair group refurbishes donated bikes at their shop at Heritage Square on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, 12:00 - 5:30 p.m. year round. Email one of the contacts listed below before going to the shop to ensure that a volunteer will be available. The repair shop is a prefabricated metal building with a sign on the outside; located in the maintenance area of Heritage Square; 18301 West Colfax Avenue, Golden, CO 80401. To get to the shop proceed to the upper parking lot of Heritage Square, look left for a “private road” sign. Take the private road at the upper right corner of the upper parking lot, follow it around across the miniature railroad tracks, make a right turn, follow the road around and you will come to the shop.
