About the Program

The Bicycle Recycle Program is a partnership between the City, the Golden/Arvada/Lake Arbor Optimists and the Arvada Bicycle Advisory Committee and A New Spin Bike Recyclery.

Optimists Location and Contact

  • Location: Connections Learning Center, Jefferson County's alternative middle school, 1200 Johnson Road, Golden, CO (just north of the post office). 
  • Hours: Tuesday and Thursday from 1 - 5 p.m. year 'round.

Email one of the contacts listed below before going to the shop to ensure that a volunteer will be available.

A New Spin Bike Recyclery Location and Contact

A New Spin Bike Recyclery,a non-profit organization, has joined the City's bicycle recycle program. In addition to accepting used bicycles and bicylce gear for distribution to citizens who otherwise would not have access to a bicycle, a New Spin staff also teach job skills to at-risk youth & kids/adults with disabilities.

  • Location: 6410 Wadsworth Bypass; 303-945-6205.
  • Hours: Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30 - 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 12 - 5 p.m. and Sunday 10-3 (or by appointment) for bike donations. The shop is closed Mondays and Fridays.
