2015 Event Details
We are excited about the opportunity for artisans, health awareness advocates, and sustainability vendors this year. Products and information are encouraged at the event. Education and outreach is our goal. We encourage new and innovative businesses that promote sustainability as well as the sale of products that approach 50 percent recycled and re-purposed or vintage materials. As usual, we encourage attendance by walking, riding a bicycle or taking the bus.
Become an eco hero! This event is a Zero Waste event where the majority of the waste is diverted from the landfill through recycling and composting. Food vendors will be using compostable plates, cups, and flat ware. Plastic water bottles are discouraged.
The Sustain Arvada Festival is a way of honoring Arvada’s rich heritage and preserving our resources to foster economic prosperity, environmental stewardship and community vitality today and into the future. Participants in attendance can expect to learn from each other. We appreciate vendors and exhibitors that incorporate water and energy conservation, transportation, and sustainable agricultural practices into their routine and practices.
Produced by the Arvada Festivals Commission and the Arvada Sustainability Advisory Committee, this event demonstrates our support of the preservation of natural resources and our commitment to fostering economic prosperity, environmental stewardship, and community vitality--today and into the future.
The Arvada Festivals Commission and the Arvada Sustainability Advisory Committee are appointed by the Arvada City Council. For more information or to volunteer for this fun event, call 720-898-7403.
