The Building Inspection Division is responsible for assuring that buildings built in the city are safe for the occupants of those buildings. To accomplish this goal, the Building Inspection Division administers the following codes:

Exposure C (Engineer can request Exposure B, if satisfactory information is provided)
All roofing products are required to meet the test ASTM 3161 Class F. ASTM 3161 Class F is not
associated with the warranty from the shingle manufacturer-three tabs do meet this test as well as
laminate or dimensional shingles.
